Requesting the MPAN
You may be asked for your MPAN when applying for some grants and/or installing some renewable technologies in your home.
If you are installing a battery or PV system or V2G charge point read here and make your installer aware of the technical information here. Both the process and the technical specifications for installing compliant systems at the Park differ from standard domestic installations elsewhere.
Please use this contact form to request the MPAN giving a brief explanation as to why you need it.
Why is the MPAN not published on this web site?
We all share an MPAN! An MPAN identifies the point of connection between a private electricity supply and ‘the national grid.’ It also links the electricity supply to a connection agreement. For most homes this point is where electrical responsibility changes from ‘the grid’ to the homeowner. Unlike most homes, those at the Park connect to the ‘national grid’ via the NFD low voltage network and FWP’s HV connection.
To provide a secure electricity connection for the Park as a whole, FWP must ensure compliance with the terms of our connection agreement. This is unlike a standard domestic connection agreement, as it reflects the size of the site and the amount of generation and batteries installed. The technical standards that apply to energy generation equipment at the Park are different. By providing the MPAN only for specific purposes, FWP aims to support all residents and MCS installers ensure compliance of our electricity supply.
